Amite County Electing Democrats is the overarching goal of the Amite County Democratic Committee and utilizing grassroots political tactics is one of the most powerful and effective ways to accomplish this goal.

​

The Amite County Democratic Executive Committee has a diverse range of members who are charged with being the Democratic leader in their voting precincts.

Committee members are at their best when they are engaging with their neighbors, talking about issues, and encouraging voters to support Democratic candidates. Committees and committee members are involved in a wide array of activities including, but not all-inclusive to:

1. Going door to door to meet voters.

2. Attending Democratic Committee meetings and helping with committee activities.

3. Collecting signatures for candidate nomination petition

4. Canvassing for candidates

5. Displaying Democratic lawn signs.

6. Holding a house party for candidates or elected officials.

7. Writing note cards and letters to voters.

8. Knowing ALL election procedures.

9. Informing constituents of elections and deadlines.

Amite County Democrat Committee is a grassroots organization committed to electing Democrats locally, statewide, and nationally. Our newly elected leadership team is dedicated to building the ACDC by providing the tools and resources for committee members to actively engage with voters in their neighborhoods and turn out the vote for our Democratic
